Hoboken Business Alliance Carmen Community Artist Crochetmural “The Flourishing Hoboken Community YarnArt” 

As part of Hoboken Art Month Carmen Paulino, Carmen Community Artist, was invited to be the Artist in Residence for October. Participants in Paulino’s crochet workshops that were offered at both Fox Hill Gardens and the Hoboken Public Library were invited to join in the crochet process by hand crocheting flowers, leaves, and other botanical elements that were pieced together  to create a larger crochet mural titled “The Flourishing Hoboken Community YarnArt.”  The colorful crocheted flowers and other botanical elements represent the vibrancy of the community. They are arranged around Hoboken spelled out in crocheted letters and the final piece is a celebration of the city.
