Hoboken Business Alliance Chiaozza Temporary Installation “Charm Harbour”

“Charm
Harbour” is a seven-piece sculptural installation at Maxwell Place Park in
Hoboken, NJ. Chiaozza imagines the curious
shapes as whimsical charms or magical tokens that have tumbled out of a satchel
of a mythical giant. Inspiring physical and mental play, these “charms” engage
the park's grassy lawn near the waterfront, inviting visitors to activate their
bodies and minds in new ways. They love it when visitors ask, “What is This?” This
place of questioning opens up a space of wonder and potential in the heart and
mind. They find great value in this space of openness, a feeling that anything is
possible. The
name “Charm Harbour” plays with the waterside location of Maxwell Place Park
and suggests a place, a port, a safe haven for our collective imagination.
